This slide show covers the entire unit. This collection was built over ten years and still isn’t perfect but I try to keep adding significant changes and cases. However, it has lots of options, especially for new teachers to use as a foundation or to incorporate content into your own materials. There are about 111 slides with screenshots of cases from Canadian textbooks to help introduce concepts (should be under fair use based on the number) for discussion, property division issues, and custody concerns. You can use your own textbook copies or recent cases, but I found that having screenshots helped to respond to students who want to do further inquiry. It starts with marriage requirements and contains graphical aids, statistics, and news items to help students make connections. I also wanted to cover access to justice issues. The students were often surprised by the cases and felt that this course was beneficial after learning from this unit to benefit their future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I did create some property division scenarios and always had intentions of building elaborate worksheets and graphic aids to help with these concepts. However, based on discussion there was never enough time \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Upon review this is thorough based on ideas covered, but with new tech can there can always be improvements around the animations and graphics.
