(Family law is available as a separate unit due to size.) Workplace law has 99 slides and is meant to interest students through practical examples that may impact their lives. It has lots of graphical aids (many self created) and video links to help explain concepts like the Rand formula. It also has some recent news releases and slides on current issues related to the workplace such as contract and precarious work. It even has an update on the doctor&#8217;s notes which is central to the time physicians have for patient care and the shortage of family doctors. Over the years, I have added lots of interesting details to consider in the slideshow and it is designed so that you can add cases or situations that would be helpful for you and your students each year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I have found that the students are engaged with this approach and feel that this unit is crucial for their futures. I have also given them the ESA to read, with questions, but have found that is method is more fun for the students. (The ESA might be helpful for a supply teacher need.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I have found that the suggestion to take lots of photos when they move into their first apartment or dorm helps to engage students considering their first apartment.
