Reading aid to help students work through the entire novel with prompts and visual clues to keep them interested in learning the morals in the lessons included.

This novel student is ready to present. The slide show covers the entire novel with visual aids and conversation starters to guide students through the novel. This is great for tutors who want to do literature studies. I created this way to give teachers the ability to cover the novel in a way that works for them with the tools to be able to do it with less prep.
If you read this novel, then these slides are helpful to jog your memory without having to reread it, which is helpful if you are covering multiple novels in a semester.
The first chapter is also available if you only want to do a short story due to the suicide aspects in the novel. The iPad story is fun for students and is great for considering stereotypes and assumptions about technology. It can also be great for discussion, especially with extended families.
There are some great lessons about the impact of people and understanding social behaviours that can be wonderful for readers.
You can hide slides that you don’t want and pick and choose as you cover the content. You can also convert to a PDF to only use certain slides or print some of the graphics to have students do some table activities.
There are a few pages of the text to get the students interested, but under the 10% rule. I have included the beginnings of chapters to help students notice the toolbox and the stress on skills.
A few pages have been included to see the context to look at the literary devices used.
Words and meanings have also been depicted to help English as a second language learners.
I might add a few more slides for the ending, but I also don’t want to give away the ending 🙂
