Ginger Major Help students become more familiar with the Go train system, Stations, and subway stops. If you don’t live in Toronto or are new to the city it takes time to figure out the stops and schedules. This activity is meant to help the students become more familiar with names that they will hear on CP24, the news, or read about in the newspapers.
This two page activity, that can be done individually or in groups, get students to look at the map and find answers. Students will indicate that they have the map skills and this will help put those into practice.
The transit maps are included in the PDF to help the students and teacher locate the answers they need. The schedules are always changing and other than changing a couple of times (might be a minute off) this activity can be used for years.
